Sweet Pea & Fay: A Delicious Treat for your Face!

Who can resist makeup? I sure can't! Especially when the colors are so rich and vivid that they seem to have been snatched from a rainbow. I am typically not too heavily into beating my face but I do make sure to save myself from looking ultra washed out with a little powder and mascara. When I want to really treat my self, I will dabble in a little eyeshadowy goodness.

This week we feature Sweet Pea & Fay, along with having the cutest name ever, their line of cosmetics are equally playful. From super fun product names like "Caterpillar smoke" and "Boys with accents", these ladies have figured out this whole branding thing. I mean who wouldn't be drawn in? To add to their collective creativity they have bright and colorful pigments ta' boot.

So I was given the opportunity to interview the owners Katrina and Amanda Farnsworth, sisters and creators of Sweet Pea and Fay for our Chicktrepreneur of the Week spotlight. Read below for the rest of their interview:

What inspired you ladies to go into business for yourself?

After Katrina Recieved her degree in Skin Care Therapy, her and Amanda who is a makeup artist, started to calaberate their ideas for a cosmetic line.

We did tons of research on cosmetic ingredients and all natrual mineral ingredients. We wanted an all natural cosmetic line that was fun and reflected our style. And then we started making cosmetics here and there for oursleves, as the demand grew we deciced to offically open up our etsy store about a year ago.

We wanted to make a line of cosmetics thats different than whats currently in the industry. Something that was fun and quirky, made out of the best ingredients for your skin and with no cheap fillers. Cosmetics that are professional quality with affordable price tags.

How do you get the word out about Sweet Pea & Fay?

We love doing social networking. Facebook is an awesome way to keep in touch with your fans. We love blogging and gurus help to get the word out about our cosmetic company.

Please share some advice for aspiring Chicktrepreneurs who might be interested in owning their own cosmetics line one day:

Have the determination to do what you love no matter what. Do not get discouraged.
